Stayed in the Candlehearth Hall for the night. Got flirted with by the server, Susanna the Wicked. When we stepped outside after breakfast, we were relieved to see the snow storm had let up.

We met Delphine at Kynesgrove. By the time we arrived, that black dragon I had spotted in Riverwood was flying over the dragon burial mound, speaking the dragon language.

But I did it. I killed another dragon. His name was Sahloknir.

Delphine was surprised to see my power! She then told me everything; she’s a retired Blade and she suspected the Thalmor were behind the dragons’ return. We’re meeting back in Riverwood to discuss our next course of action.

Ran into a jester along the road…
A jester…in Skyrim. I can’t remember ever seeing an actual jester in this age. The little man was out of his head; deranged.

His wagon wheel broke, so I convinced the farmer off the road to help him. Continue reading “27th of Heartfire, 4E 201”

Blast! The horn wasn’t at Ustengrav! Someone got there before me, told me to rent the attic room at the inn in Riverwood.

When we got to Riverwood, the innkeeper turned out to be the one that stole the horn. Told me that the dragons are coming back to life, from the dead!

She supposedly figured out where the next one will be awoken: Kynesgrove, near Windhelm. We leave in the morning.

This better not be a waste of time.

We left Whiterun this morning, before dawn.

We arrived at Shoal’s Rest and had lunch. I collected my profits (which were almost stolen by a low-life thief along the road) and the gold I had in my chest then we set out again.

edit

We finally reached Solitude in the early evening. I sold the old gear I had from my chest and then rented a room at the Winking Skeever.

I suppose we’ll be heading to Ustengrav tomorrow…

We arrived back in Whiterun late afternoon. We didn’t make any stops. I made quite a bit of gold from the pelts I skinned from the trips.

However, none of the merchants have gotten their shipments in because of the dragon attacks. I think I’ll have better luck buying potions of healing in Solitude.

The ruin of Ustengrav is in the marshes southeast of the city, so we’re heading that direction in the morning. For tonight, we’ll sleep in a warm bed within the safety of Whiterun’s walls.

It was certainly easier going up the mountain than it was going down. Each step was slippery and I lost my footing more times than I’d like to admit.

A couple of cultists approached Lydia and I in town. Their masks resembled a scowling octopus. Said something about how I’m not the true Dragonborn and that Miraak? would return and show his true power.

The city guard took care of them. I found a letter on one of them saying to board the boat from Raven Rock and to kill me. I may look into this later…

We’re going to rest here until tomorrow. Klimmek caught up to me and paid me 500 gold for delivering the supplies, which I’ll be using for food.
